As Karitree is a Shea-based product line with its roots in Africa, we explored the numerous symbols and artwork found in African culture. The logo was created based on two strong symbols used on traditional African mud cloths with the meanings: "family and community" and "wealth and luxury". We expanded the visual language onto the packaging using specific colours and created patterns. The idea of making each product stand out as individual characters in the copywriting also became part of the brand's language.
We have worked very closely with Atelier Oost when developing a new branding for our company Karitree. It was a pleasure all along. Atelier Oost works in a very professional way while they also make sure to keep it very personal and close to the company mission. They listened carefully to our wishes and the combination of one persons being responsible for all texts and the other for the artwork works quite well. The delivery of their products is fast and correct and we found the pricing reasonable.
